Heavy rain over the past two days has caused severe flooding in Ramechhap, with Manthali Airport now submerged by water from the overflowing Tamakoshi River. The District Police Office in Ramechhap reported that the airport has been underwater since early this morning, as the river's water level rose due to the continuous rain.
The heavy rain has also caused flooding in several low-lying areas, making transportation and emergency responses more difficult. No flights to Lukla have been able to operate from the airport, and local officials are keeping a close watch on the situation.
As more information comes in, there are increasing concerns about the flood’s effects on nearby communities and infrastructure. Local residents are advised to stay alert and follow safety instructions. More updates are expected soon.
But from today onwards the weather is clear so far, hopefully we will get the better results for the operation of roadway.
