The Khopra Trek, also known as Khopra Ridge Trek or Khayer Lake Trek, stands out as a popular, less-explored trekking destination situated in the heart of the Annapurna region. Offering spectacular view of towering peaks such as Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Bhara Shikhar, Annapurna I, and Machhapuchhre.
The trek's main attraction is Khayer Lake, positioned at an elevation of 4660 meters ,deemed sacred in Hindu beliefs. Situated amidst the Annapurna range, the Khayer Lake trek is notably challenging, particularly in its final stages. The journey is enriched by encounters with the ever-smiling locals, their rich cultures, and the enchanting rhododendron forests that are particularly vibrant in March and April when the rhododendron flowers are in full bloom. With its diverse landscapes, cultural encounters, and breathtaking vistas, the Khopra Trek is a hidden gem that promises a unique and rewarding adventure for those who embark on its trails.
