The Poon Hill Trek is a popular and relatively short trekking route in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The trek offers stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, including the majestic peaks of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Annapurna South. The trail passes through charming villages inhabited by the Gurung and Magar communities, offering opportunities to experience their unique culture and hospitality. Trip Itineries


  • Day 1

    Arrival Kathmandu pick up and transfer to hotel (welcome drinks & check-in)

  • Day 2

    Drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu (200 km/ 6-7 h) After breakfast early in the morning we will drive towards Pokhara, on the way it will take around 6-7 hours.

  • Day 3

    Pokhara to Ulleri drive (2055 m) On this day we will drive towards Ulleri from Pokhara which will take around 2.5 hours’ drive passing through hills and locals. Night at the lodge/hotel

  • Day 4

    Trek to Ghorepani from Ulleri (2860 m) Our hike today is intended to be very pleasant. We first walk to the rhythm of the river before crossing a superb forest of rhododendrons whose flowering begins in March. Arriving at Tadapani, we have an exceptional panorama of the valley which leads to the Annapurna sanctuary. Dinner and night in a guesthouse.

  • Day 5

    Trek to Tadapani (2630 m) Wake up very early to make the (optional) ascent of Poon Hill (3193 m). The climb is done by the light of headlamps. Arriving at the summit, we admire the sunrise as well as the excellent view of the Annapurna circuit and base camp trail, the breathtaking Annapurna Himalayan ranges. Descent to Tadapani after breakfast. Dinner and night in a guest house.

  • Day 6

    Trek to Ghandruk. (2012 m) After having our breakfast, we will head towards Ghandruk from Tadapani. It offers you breathtaking views of the Annapurna range and the fascinating villages of the Gurung community surrounded by mystical clouds and a perfect combination of nature and culture that offers trekkers the chance to experience the breathtaking beauty of the region. 'Annapurna while gaining insight into the traditional way of life of the Gurung people.

  • Day 7

    Trek to Deurali (Overnight at ES Resort) We will have our breakfast in a guesthouse and descent to Deurali and end of the trek. and stay at the ES Resort.

  • Day 8

    Drive to Pokhara (2-3 hrs) from Deurali. After breakfast: we will drive to Pokhara city from Deurali it will takes around 2 to 3 hrs of drive.

  • Day 9

    Rafting at Seti River & Overnight in camp river side. On this day after breakfast we will start our rafting water activities from Seti River and we will stay overnight at Camp river side at tent.

  • Day 10

    Drive to Chitwan (4 hrs) After Breakfast: Drive to Chitwan (4 hrs) which is at 415m of sea level. After lunch you will go for the village tour of Tharu people where you will have observation of tharu culture and their lifestyle. Sunset view from Rapti river beach. And then relax for the day

  • Day 11

    Jungle Safari Activities (Full Day) After Breakfast – You will go for a jeep safari or elephant safari to travel throughout the jungle of Chitwan National Park Where you will get to see wildlife &birds in its natural habitat such as one horned Rhino, tiger, deer and many other species of birds and plants. After having your lunch you will have canoe ride in rapti river where you will get to explore more about Chitwan National Park, also to view aquatic animals of Chitwan National Park like Gharial crocodiles. At the evening time you will get to see the Tharu Cultural Dance of Tharu tribe people.

  • Day 12

    Flight Back to Kathmandu from Chitwan (35 min)

  • Day 13

    Kathmandu Sightseeing Day After Breakfast: Visit Boudhanath stupa (This stupa is one of the largest in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The stupa's massive mandala makes it an architectural marvel adorned with colorful prayer flags.) Visit Kathmandu durbar square (One of the palace built during Malla dynasty of Nepal is also another UNESCO heritage site of Kathmandu Nepal. Visit Swayambhunath Stupa (Known for its all-seeing eyes of Buddha overlooking the Kathmandu Valley. It's a blend of Buddhism and Hinduism where lots of tourist every year come to visit. It is also known as Monkey Temple. Offers stunning views of the city and surrounding hills; it's a great spot for sunrise or sunset.) Visit Pashupatinath Temple. Drive back to hotel.

  • Day 14

    Departure day. You will be transfer to airport 2 or 3 hours prior to your flight time.
