Saribung Peak Expedition is a thrilling mountaineering venture in the Mustang region of Nepal. Standing at an elevation of 6328 m (20,771 feet). Saribung offers a challenging ascent with a blend of technical climbing and high altitude trekking. This expedition is ideal for experienced climbers looking to explore a less frequented peak in the Himalayas, providing stunning panoramic views and sense of accomplishment in conquering a less-known summit.

Trip Itineries


  • Day 1

    Arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel. (Welcome drink & Check-in at Hotel).Our representative will be there to welcome you at Arrivals. After that, you'll be taken to your hotel for some rest and relaxation.

  • Day 2

    Preparation day at Kathmandu.On your preparation day We'll handle all the paperwork for climbing Saribung Peak, including getting permits. Our guide will help you a briefing and pack everything for the trek and peak climb.

  • Day 3

    Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (850m) (200 km). Early morning we will drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu which takes around 7 hours, passing through the hills and local villages, trishuli river. After we reach at Pokhara you can roam around the Phewa lakeside of Pokhara.

  • Day 4

    From Pokhara fly to Jomsom (2700m) & trek to Kagbeni. On this day we have flight to Jomsom from Pokhara, the flight offers majestic views of Mt. Annapurna ranges, Mt. Machhapuchhre , Mt. Dhaulagiri and after we landed at Jomsom airport we will start our hike to Kagbeni which will take 3 to 4 hours of gentle walk.

  • Day 5

    Trek from Kagbeni to Chele. After breakfast, We begin our journey early today to avoid the strong winds that usually pick up later in the day. In the morning sunlight, the Nilgiri mountain appears orange, reflecting the sun's rays. We proceed along the eastern side of the Kali Gandaki River until we reach the expansive Chhusang Valley. As we leave Kagbeni behind, we climb upwards, providing us with breathtaking views of the village and the towering Mt. Nilgiri (7061m). It will takes 5 to 6 hours of gentle walk to reach Chele village.

  • Day 6

    Trek from Chele to Syangboche. This day we will start our trek to syangboche from Chele that will offers you the unique landscape and the himalayan ranges and also get to observe local people culture and their habitat.

  • Day 7

    Trek to Dhakmar. After we had our breakfast we will head towrads Dhakmar which will takes around 5 to 6 hours of walking. Rest at Dhakmar

    Trek to Lho - Manthang (3840m). After breakfast we will move to Lho- Manthang one of the popular place of Upper Mustang with deep historical significance and rich local people culture traditions. Offering every trekkers the majestic landscape and the hevanly view and worth himlayan ranges. It takes 5 to 6 hours of gentle walk to reach Lho- Manthang from Dhakmar.

  • Day 9

    Accimatization day at Lo Manthang. In this day we will explore the Lo- Manthang village and its unique natural scene with ancient monastries and locals culture.

  • Day 10

    Trek from Lo-Manthang to Yara Village. We will trek to Yara Village which will takes around 5 to 6 hours of walking. Overnight at Yara Village.

  • Day 11

    Trek from Yara to Luri Cave Monastery. After breakfast we will head to Luri Cave Monastery, believed to be the oldest in the Mustang region from the 15th century, is our destination for today's trek. The journey will take around three to four hours, and stay at Luri Cave Monastry.

  • Day 12

    Trek from Luri Cave to Ghuma Thanti. This day we trek for about five to six hours and cross a 5100m pass before reaching Ghuma Thanti.

    Trek from Ghuma Thanti to Bastyok Cops. Today we will start our trek to Bastyok cops which takes around 4 to 5 hours of gentle walk.

    Trek to Damodar kunda. After breakfast we will trek to Damodar Kunda an altitude of 4970 m

    Camp Japanese. On this day we hike to Japnese camp which is at an altitude of 5360 m

    Camp Moraine.On this day we hike to Camp Moraine

    Summit of Saribung Peak (6346m) & return to Base Camp Brikuti Base Camp. On ths day we will do the summit of Saribung peak from where you have have spectacular view of the himlayan ranges and the majestic fellings of conquered. It will takes 9- 10 hours from summit to return to Bhrikuti base camp.

  • Day 18

    Trek to Phu Gaon.This region is remote and sometimes regarded as isolated from the rest of the world, serving as the residence for Gurung, Lama, and Ghale communities. In this area lies the ancient Buddhist Monastery, Tashi Lhakhang, considered one of the world's significant Buddhist monasteries built by the renowned Karmapa Rinpoche. Phu Gaon offers stunning vistas of Himlung Himal and other snow-capped peaks.

    Rest Day at Phu. Explore Phu Village

  • Day 20

    Trek to Naar Phedi Monastries. After having breakfast we will trek to Naar Phedi Monastries, an ancient monastries with unique historical values and importance. It will take 7 hours of gentle walk to reach.

    Trek to Koto. After breakfast we will start our trek to Koto village, where you will offer to observe the local habitat and their culture and traditions. It will take 6 to 7 hours to reach Koto village. Rest at Koto village.

    Trek to Dharapani. This day we will trek to Dharapani from koto where we can have view of Mt. Manaslu and other snow caped peaks,on the way.

    Trek to Syange. This day we will head to Syange village that takes around 5 hours of walk to reach.

    Drive to Kathmandu from Syange. After breakfast we will drive to Kathmandu from Syange which will take 7 hours of drive and transfer to hotel at Kathmandu.

    Kathmandu rest day.Its a free day at Kathmandu for you so you have time to explore the heritage sites and major tourist places of Kathmandu.

  • Day 26

    Departure from Kathmandu.You will be transfer to the airport 3 hours before your flight time.
